President Bola Tinubu has said his administration is focused on delivering tangible results for Nigerians, insisting that his government came to work and not merely occupy public office.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Tinubu made the remark on Wednesday during the inauguration of the newly completed Akinwumi Ajibola Street, including Important Local Streets (ILS) 16, 18 and 19 in the Gaduwa District of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The President, who was represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, said the road project reflects his administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and fulfilling the promises made under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to him, the project represents more than the commissioning of a road, describing it as the restoration of access and improved connectivity for residents.
“We are here to open a road, but more importantly, we are here to restore access,” Tinubu said.

“Under the Renewed Hope Agenda, we made it clear that we did not come to occupy space; we came to work. Today, that promise is visible on these streets.”
The President said his administration evaluates its performance based on completed projects rather than promises, adding that the newly inaugurated road demonstrates the government’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure.
“In this government, we measure ourselves by finished work. This street is finished work,” he said.
Tinubu further stated that the successful completion of the project was made possible through adequate funding and strict supervision, noting that the road, drainage facilities and street lighting reflect the administration’s determination to deliver infrastructure that meets the needs of Nigerians.
