Speaking during the event, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement, Dr. Afolabi Abiodun Tajudeen, said the programme reflects the people-focused leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, aimed at ensuring that government interventions directly impact residents at the grassroots.

He said the Lagos State Government remains committed to ensuring that no resident is left behind in its development agenda.
Dr. Afolabi urged beneficiaries to make prudent use of the financial support, expressing confidence that the assistance would help improve their livelihoods and provide relief for their families.
He assured them that the state government would continue to expand programmes focused on economic empowerment, social welfare and sustainable livelihoods.
The Special Adviser also encouraged beneficiaries to register on the CitizensGate 2.0 App, describing it as a digital platform that provides residents with information on government programmes, policies and services.
He advised them to explore other opportunities available through state government initiatives in healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, digital inclusion and social investment to improve their quality of life.
Dr. Afolabi reaffirmed the commitment of the Office of Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement to strengthening the relationship between the government and residents through continuous engagement and people-centred programmes.
He assured beneficiaries that more vulnerable residents across Lagos would continue to benefit as the state expands its social intervention initiatives.

The event also featured a sensitisation session where beneficiaries were enlightened on various Lagos State Government programmes and policies designed to improve the welfare of residents.
