An old interview of Favour Agbro, the 20 year old woman whose alleged rape and subsequent death have sparked widespread outrage, has resurfaced on social media, showing her expressing a desire to remain a virgin until marriage.
The interview, conducted in Asaba by content creator Itz Patorchizzy, was reshared on Facebook on Thursday following reports of her death.
In the video, Favour said she did not have a boyfriend and had never been in a sexual relationship.
When asked if she had a boyfriend, she replied, “No.”
Asked why she was single, she said, “Nothing, I just don’t have any.”
Responding to questions about her body count and whether she was a virgin, the young woman said she had never had sex and intended to remain a virgin until marriage.
“I’m looking for a boyfriend, but it’s not really easy. It will be someone that is ready to wait till marriage,” she said.
The resurfaced video has triggered emotional reactions online, with many expressing sadness over the contrast between her aspirations and the circumstances surrounding her death.

The video surfaced a day after the Delta State Police Command announced the arrest of a content creator, Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as Odogwu of Asaba, over allegations that he raped the deceased after inviting her to Asaba under the guise of training her in content creation.
Police alleged that the suspect took the woman to a hotel, where she was raped and assaulted before she returned home and narrated her ordeal to her family.
According to the police, Favour later recorded a video detailing her experience and the emotional trauma she suffered before she later died after ingesting a toxic substance.
The Delta State Police Command said investigations are ongoing and assured the public that anyone found culpable would be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
