According to the NDLEA, the suspect, who reportedly worked as an okada rider in Lagos for 15 years, was apprehended upon his arrival from Uganda following intelligence reports and sustained surveillance by anti-narcotics operatives.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect swallowed 100 wraps of methamphetamine before boarding the flight to Nigeria as part of an alleged transnational drug trafficking operation.
Following his arrest, he was placed under close observation, during which he excreted all 100 wraps of the illicit substance.

Reacting to the development in a post shared on X, the NDLEA said the suspect’s attempt to improve his financial condition through drug trafficking had ended in failure.
The agency stated that after spending 15 years as an okada rider, the suspect allegedly sought a quick financial breakthrough by joining an international drug trafficking syndicate.
According to the NDLEA, the plan collapsed after he was intercepted at the Lagos airport and forced to expel the illicit drugs he had ingested.
