- Lagos Announces Merit Admission List for Model Colleges, Upgraded Schools

The Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has released the merit admission list for candidates seeking admission into the state’s Model Colleges and Upgraded Secondary Schools.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mrs. Abisola Dokunmu-Adegbite, said candidates who participated in the screening examination conducted in May 2026 can now check their admission status.

She explained that the admission list has been uploaded to the Lagos State Examinations Board portal and has been available to candidates and their parents since 22 July 2026.
Dokunmu-Adegbite advised successful candidates to confirm their admission status online before proceeding to their respective schools from 31 August 2026 to collect their admission letters and complete the registration process.
She congratulated the successful candidates and urged parents and guardians to ensure that all registration formalities are completed within the stipulated period.
The ministry also reaffirmed the Lagos State Government’s commitment to providing quality education through a transparent and merit based admission process into its Model Colleges and Upgraded Secondary Schools.
