The Benue State Police Command has arrested a man, Terfa Nyikwagh, for allegedly killing his father with an axe following a family disagreement in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of the state.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the incident was reported on July 25 by the Clan Head of Turan-Tse Twar, Injorov Tongov, Zaki Akor Kpan, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama.

The report indicated that the incident occurred a day earlier, on July 24, when the suspect allegedly engaged in a heated argument with his father, Mr. Nyikwagh Abor, over the death of his brother, Ternenge Uwuh.
The disagreement reportedly escalated into violence, during which Terfa allegedly attacked his father with an axe, inflicting fatal injuries.
Following the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Katsina-Ala led a team of police officers to the community, where the suspect was arrested without resistance.
The victim’s body was evacuated to the Gondozua Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
The suspect remains in police custody as detectives continue investigations to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident before he is charged in court.
The Benue State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement on the case.
