The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah O. Animashaun, FHTI, has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to youth empowerment, innovation and community development as she received members of the Epe Youth Ambassadors during a courtesy visit to the Council Secretariat.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the visit provided an opportunity for the youth group to present reports on completed projects, showcase their achievements and discuss future initiatives aimed at promoting creativity, leadership and sustainable development across Epe.
During the engagement, the delegation highlighted the impact of their community-based projects and presented impressive artworks produced by members of the team and participants of the IDEA Project, demonstrating the creative talents and innovative capacity of young people in the community.
They also outlined their vision for upcoming programmes and explored areas of collaboration with the local government to expand opportunities for youth engagement, skills development and community service.
Receiving the delegation, Hon. Animashaun commended the Epe Youth Ambassadors for their dedication, creativity and commitment to making meaningful contributions to the development of Epe.
She described the group’s initiatives as commendable, noting that young people remain vital partners in building a progressive and prosperous community.
“Our youths are our greatest assets, and I am proud of the passion, creativity and sense of responsibility demonstrated by the Epe Youth Ambassadors. My administration will continue to support initiatives that promote innovation, leadership and sustainable community development,” she said.
The council chairman encouraged the ambassadors to remain focused on projects that positively impact society, assuring them of the local government’s continued partnership in initiatives that empower young people and inspire positive change.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, members of the Epe Youth Ambassadors expressed appreciation to Hon. Animashaun for her warm reception and unwavering support for youth-focused programmes in the local government.
They also acknowledged the contributions of the Head of the Tourism Department, Dr. Shoye Nurudeen Damilare, Comrade Maruf Odunare, Comrade Ibrahim Adesanya, and other stakeholders whose encouragement and mentorship have continued to inspire the group’s mission.
