Despite dreaming of becoming a chartered accountant, his life took a drastic turn during his higher national diploma (HND) studies when he took a loan to support his then-girlfriend.
According to the skit maker, he borrowed ₦30,000 from an online lending platform to help her launch a business, only for her to abandon the relationship shortly after receiving the funds.
Delays in repayment caused the debt to surge beyond ₦300,000 due to compounding interest, plunging him into severe financial distress, depression, and a one-year delay in his academic progression.
His turnaround began in 2024 when his manager convinced him to explore content creation on TikTok and Facebook.
Since then, Baami has amassed over 1.3 million followers on Facebook, built a strong international audience, and collaborated with prominent industry figures including Oluwadolarz, Nasboi, Shank, and Cute Abiola.
