Youths seize Police ‘extortion vehicle’ after gunmen attack, robbery
Some aggrieved youths have impounded a police patrol van allegedly used to extort people at Dambam, a community in Bauchi State.
They seized the vehicle after armed robbers brutally attacked and robbed some travelling women in the area.
Three little boys, who were together with their mothers, were seriously injured on their heads and faces.

Speaking in Hausa, the villagers said they found a mobile phone belonging to one of the officers who had fled the scene and the vehicle car key.
They explained that the vehicle belonging to Dambam Divisional Police, was usually used by personnel to allegedly assault and extort both commuters and residents plying the road passing through their village.
The youths threatened to take laws into their hands if the government fails to take action and deal with the errant security officers.
Reacting, the Bauchi State Police Command told Prnigeria that the video “totally unfounded, fabricated and mischievous”.
It added that an investigation into the armed robbery incident and the purported video, promising that all findings would be made available to the public.
