The Ogun State police command has arrested two suspects for robbing two brothers at gunpoint.
According to Ogun State Police Command Spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspects, Ayomide Joseph and Olajide Ajisomo were arrested when a report was made at Mowe police station by Adegoke Sodipe, who claimed that, he and his brother were robbed by three persons at Ikugbonmire Junction, Mowe, Ogun State.
Oyeyemi further stated that the victims were robbed of their belongings, which included an Infinix phone valued at twenty-five thousand naira, a UBA ATM card, and an identity card.

The police source confirmed that the victims had raised alarm which attracted people and led to one of the hoodlums being nabbed by members of the public.
She added that the DPO Mowe division, SP Marvis Jayeola quickly dispatched his detectives to the scene where the arrested member of the gang was handed over to the police.
She said, “Having taken possession of the suspect, the operatives embarked on an intelligent-based investigation, which led to the arrest of the second suspect and a locally-made double-barrel shotgun was recovered from them”.
The State’s Commissioner of Police, Mr Kenneth Ebrimson, was said had given orders that the suspects should be taken to Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) for further investigation.
Ebrimson was also said had emphasized the readiness of the command to clamp down on any criminal element within the State during and after this lockdown period.
