In a statement released on Thursday through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, the Speaker expressed deep outrage over the incident, stating that the assault reflected extreme cruelty and a direct strike against the collective conscience of the country.

Abbas commiserated with the families of those who lost their lives, the government and people of Borno State, and Nigerians at large, while offering prayers for the speedy recovery of those receiving medical care.
He praised security operatives for their continued sacrifices in safeguarding lives and property, expressing optimism that ongoing efforts by the Federal Government would yield improved security outcomes across the country.
The Speaker stressed that the perpetrators would not achieve their objectives, insisting that attempts to sow division or derail Nigeria’s progress toward peace and stability would ultimately fail.
He further called on Nigerians to uphold unity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence, noting that sustainable national development cannot flourish in an atmosphere of fear and discord.

According to him, interfaith harmony and mutual respect among citizens, regardless of religious or ethnic differences, remain essential to the nation’s growth and prosperity.
Abbas also reaffirmed the commitment of the Federal Government to tackling insecurity, stating that under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, decisive steps are being taken through improved military support, intelligence-led operations and community-focused security strategies to protect lives and restore peace nationwide.
