In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, the Speaker condemned the assaults in strong terms, describing them as another painful reminder of how vulnerable soft targets such as schools and places of worship have become.

Abbas expressed confidence that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the capacity to reverse the troubling security trend, stressing that restoring safety is critical for citizens’ wellbeing as well as for economic growth and investment.
He also praised Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for what he termed bold and courageous leadership, noting that the state has witnessed relative calm since the governor assumed office in May 2023.

The Speaker said Governor Sani’s visit to the affected Kurmin Wali community on Wednesday demonstrated his resolve to protect lives and property, even in the face of persistent security challenges.
Abbas concluded by offering prayers for the safe return of the abducted worshippers and called on security agencies to act swiftly and decisively to rescue the victims and dismantle the criminal networks behind the attacks.
