The Special Assistant to the President On Nigerians in Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has condemned the recent attack on the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
It could be recalled that Amaechi was beaten up by some Nigerians living Spain during his visit to the Madrid.
Meanwhile, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has claimed responsibility for the attack adding that, the members of the group were acting on the instructions of the group’s leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Abike disclosed that the transportation minister was attending an official meeting when he was attacked.
She disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

The statement reads in part “NIDCOM appeals to Nigerians in the diaspora to be of good behavior wherever they are because such incidents tarnish the image of the country in their host countries.
“Also such attitude has multiplier negative effects on Nigerians living in that country, who are law-abiding.”
She however, applauded the prompt intervention of the Nigerian Mission in Spain and the Spanish police who ensured that the attacks did not escalate.
