EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a statement issued on Sunday in Makurdi, the party’s Steering Committee Publicity Secretary, Stevie Ayua, described the allegations as false and aimed at misleading voters. He said the party’s programmes and operations are solely financed by voluntary contributions from its members and stakeholders.
“All of our activities – from state unveiling to mobilisation and chapter inaugurations – have been funded through the goodwill of our members,” Ayua clarified.
He reaffirmed the party’s independence from the Benue State Government and insisted Governor Alia has no ties to the ADC.
“We are proud to declare that the ADC in Benue is free from any external influence, especially from Governor Alia or the APC-led government,” Ayua said.
He stated that the party remains open to all Nigerians who share its ideals, but warned that ADC would not become a haven for desperate politicians trying to switch platforms for political survival.
“Our party is built on principle and purpose. We won’t tolerate being used as a refuge by politicians looking for relevance,” he said.
Ayua urged those behind the rumours to focus on resolving internal crises in their parties rather than spreading misinformation about the ADC. He stressed that the party is committed to reclaiming Benue and Nigeria through genuine leadership and accountability.

“ADC is on a mission to deliver responsible governance. We will not be distracted by baseless allegations from failed politicians,” he concluded.
