The Accident Investigation Bureau, AIB, yesterday, disclosed that it will review its regulations to meet current challenges of investigating air accidents and incidences.

This was revealed at a two-day stakeholders forum the bureau is hosting to review its proposed Civil Aviation Regulations of 2019, on April 4, 5 in Lagos.

Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of AIB, Engineer Akin Olateru said: “We are amending our regulations to meet global standards, and the stakeholders input are of great importance. This is in conformance with international best practices.”

The Forum is to enable the Bureau review its legal backing as to its duties and processes and will feature a stakeholders’ conference where safety and other critical issues were deliberated upon by the participants.
