Nigerian heavyweight boxer Efe Ajagba has voiced his excitement ahead of his highly anticipated clash with Martin Bakole, set for May 3 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Taking to Instagram, Ajagba shared the official fight poster for the ‘FATAL FURY’ event, writing: “It’s official, I’m ready to rumble. UghelliBoy, it’s my time to shine. The Silent Roller can’t wait.”

The change in venue follows Bakole’s recent second-round knockout loss to Joseph Parker in February, where the Congolese heavyweight stepped in as a late replacement for an unwell Daniel Dubois. Despite the setback, Bakole has quickly seized the opportunity to face Ajagba and remains a top-five contender in several heavyweight rankings.
Bakole (21-2, 16 KOs) expressed his gratitude to Riyadh Season event organiser Turki Al al-Sheikh, writing, “Thank you for the opportunity, @turkialalshik.” Ajagba (20-1, 14 KOs) responded by reposting the fight announcement on his Instagram story with the caption: “Let’s go,” accompanied by boxing glove emojis.

In the lead-up to the bout, former two-time world champion Anthony Joshua offered his thoughts, backing Bakole to rebound from his recent loss. “Bakole believes in himself and he’s got every right to. He’s a serious fighter. That’s not the end, this is the heavyweight division,” Joshua said. However, he also expressed support for his fellow Nigerian Ajagba to win the contest.
Ajagba, nicknamed ‘The Silent Roller,’ has previously taunted Bakole on social media, vowing to “woop your as* the Naija way.”
The May 3 showdown presents a pivotal moment for both fighters, each seeking to make a significant statement in the highly competitive heavyweight division, with both men known for their formidable knockout power.
