Suspended senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has accused the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, and former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, of plotting to kill her.
She made this serious allegation while addressing her supporters during her homecoming on Tuesday, where she received a warm welcome from the people.

According to Natasha, the plot was not made public initially, but she has since reported the matter to the Nigeria Police Force. She explained that Akpabio had taken steps to initiate her recall from the Senate and had allegedly promised financial support to Yahaya Bello to ensure the process was successful.
She revealed that on March 13 at exactly 10:00 pm, two days after Akpabio had earlier called Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo, he made another call to Bello. During his first call, Akpabio had urged Ododo to begin the process of recalling her from the Senate, but Ododo declined, stating that such an action would be impossible because Natasha had massive support from the people.
Unhappy with this response, Akpabio reportedly reached out to Bello, and Natasha claimed she was fully informed about the entire conversation. She said their discussion had two key points.
The first was that Bello should take charge of the recall process and ensure it was properly funded. The second was an alleged plan to eliminate her.
She stated that Akpabio advised Bello to ensure that if she was to be killed, it should not happen in Abuja. Instead, the act should be carried out in Kogi State, so it would appear as though she was killed by the people of her own constituency.

Natasha said she had kept this information to herself for some time, but given the seriousness of the situation, she decided to officially inform the Inspector General of Police.

She assured her supporters that she remains strong and determined despite the threats against her life.
Her claims have added to the ongoing political tension surrounding her suspension from the Senate, as well as other controversies involving key political figures in Kogi State. Meanwhile, supporters of the senator have continued to show their solidarity, expressing concerns overher safety.
