The fourth season of the hugely awaited Big Brother Naija reality show finally kicked off yesterday with 21 housemates.
The first housemate introduced for the new season, delayed a little beyond usual, was 30-year-old Ogun State indigene, Avala. Others like Khafi, a 29-year-old from Ekiti State and 29-year-old Omashola from Delta State, followed.
Frodd, a 28-year-old from Anambra State, a 26-year-old model from Imo State, Ike; a 30-year-old lady from Anambra State called Ella, 27-year-old Isilomo from Edo State are among those introduced next.
These were followed by Tuoyo, a fitness trainer and psychotherapist, 26-year-old Nelson from Rivers State, 28-year-old Sir Dee, a banker from Kogi State along with 30-year-old Seyi, a grandson of late sage, Obafemi Awolowo.
The next set includes 22-year-old lawyer, Esther; 26-year-old Thelma from Imo State, Gedoni, a 31-year-old designer from Cross River and 23-year-old Diane from Kaduna.
26-year-old Mercy from Imo State, 23-year-old Tacha from Rivers State, 30-year-old Jeff from Anambra, 28-year-old married Mike from Manchester and Kim Oprah complete the list of contestants battling for the N60 million prize money
The show, being shot for the first time in Nigeria, featured live performances from notable musicians including Zlatan Ibile and Teni the entertainer.
Burna Boy, performing for the first time since picking up a BET award last weekend, also thrilled the crowd with his hit songs to signal the beginning of the show.
