A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Musa Kwankwaso, has applauded President Bola Tinubu for the Federal Government’s role in securing the release of 176 abducted residents of Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Kwankwaso’s commendation was contained in a statement issued on Thursday, where he described the successful rescue as a significant step in the fight against insecurity across the country.

According to him, the return of the victims, who were kidnapped on February 3, 2026, demonstrates that the Tinubu administration is making steady progress in tackling security challenges.
“As the 176 residents of Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, who were abducted on February 3, 2026, regained their freedom, it shows that President Tinubu is clearly working to free the nation from the bondage of insecurity,” the statement read.
Kwankwaso, who serves as the Director of Finance at the Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, noted that the military-led rescue ended nearly six months of pain and uncertainty for the victims and their families.
The Kwara State Government had earlier announced the rescue through its official Facebook page on Wednesday, describing the operation as a major breakthrough. It also commended President Tinubu, security agencies and all those involved in securing the victims’ release.
Reacting to the development, Kwankwaso urged opposition politicians to acknowledge positive outcomes when government efforts produce results.
He also praised the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, the Ministers of Defence and the Service Chiefs for their roles in the operation, expressing confidence that Nigeria’s security situation would continue to improve.
Looking ahead to the 2027 general election, Kwankwaso said he believes President Tinubu’s achievements, particularly in the area of security, would earn him strong support from voters in Northern Nigeria.
