In Akwa Ibom, Senate President Godswill Akpabio projected strong support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno ahead of 2027.

Speaking after party officials emerged through consensus in Essien Udim Local Government Area, Akpabio said the smooth conduct of the congress reflected unity within the party.
He maintained that local stakeholders, including traditional rulers, had reaffirmed their backing for Tinubu and Eno, predicting a substantial vote turnout for both leaders in future elections.
In Sokoto, Governor Ahmed Aliyu urged newly elected executives across the state’s 23 local government areas to uphold discipline and strengthen grassroots mobilisation.
He commended delegates for what he described as orderly participation during the congresses, which produced 27 executives in each council. Aliyu emphasised that transparency and loyalty to party principles would be essential in maintaining the APC’s dominance in the state.

Similarly, the APC chapter in Delta State characterised its congress as peaceful and credible, dismissing claims of irregularities and parallel structures in some areas.
The state publicity secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, said the exercise marked a departure from past internal disputes, noting that consultation and consensus defined the process.
He added that the presence of officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reinforced the credibility of the proceedings.
Across the three states, party leaders charged the newly elected officials with consolidating party structures, intensifying voter engagement, and promoting unity.
They stressed that sustained grassroots mobilisation and effective communication of government achievements would be central to securing success in the 2027 elections.
