APC Spokesman In Ogun, Oladunjoye Is Dead.
Governor Abiodun mourns him as an irreplaceable party pillar.

The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been thrown into mourning following the death of its Publicity Secretary, Tunde Oladunjoye.

Oladunjoye, a native of Ijebu-Itele in Ijebu East Local Government Area, reportedly passed away in the United Kingdom after battling a prolonged illness.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that his family confirmed the sad development in an official statement released on Friday, April 4, 2025. “It is with deep sorrow and total submission to the divine will of Almighty Allah that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, brother, and esteemed leader, Alhaji Abdulraheem Olatunde Ayinde Oladunjoye, who returned to his Lord on Friday, 4th April 2025,” the statement read.

The family noted that funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.

Reacting to the news, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun described Oladunjoye’s death as a devastating blow to both the party and the state. In an emotional tribute, the governor expressed shock and disbelief over the loss of the veteran spokesman and government consultant.

“Receiving the news of the departure of our gallant, highly resourceful, uncommonly cerebral, and hard-working party spokesman and consultant, Tunde Oladunjoye, was devastating for me. This is tragic news that is frankly difficult to fathom,” Abiodun said.

The governor praised Oladunjoye as a dynamic and loyal politician who served with remarkable commitment. “Oladunjoye never believed in half measures. He defended the programmes, policies, and image of the Ogun State government with uncommon dedication. He was an effective and accomplished spokesman whose brilliance was never in doubt,” he added.

Describing Oladunjoye as the “voice of courage” and “easily the best spokesman Ogun APC has ever produced,” Abiodun commended his tenacity, doggedness, and immense contributions to the growth of the party and the success of the current administration.

Governor Abiodun extended heartfelt condolences to Oladunjoye’s immediate family, the Ogun APC family, and all his associates, noting that he was “a good man who will be sorely missed.”
