Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, marked its 10th anniversary with a Thanksgiving Mass on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Chapel of Mary Mother of the Church.
Ekohotblog gathers that the event brought together members of the university community, including the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Christopher Odetunde, faculty, students, and parents, who gathered in gratitude for a decade of academic excellence and institutional growth.

Coinciding with Ash Wednesday, the Mass also signified the beginning of Lent, a period of spiritual renewal.
The congregation received ash marks on their foreheads, symbolizing repentance and reflection.
In his address, Prof. Christopher Odetunde expressed gratitude for the university’s achievements over the years.

“This milestone is a testament to our unwavering commitment to academic excellence, moral values, and holistic development.
We have grown tremendously in these ten years, and the journey ahead is even more promising,” he said.
A senior lecturer, Dr. Margaret Olukoya, highlighted the university’s dedication to education and faith.
“Augustine University has remained steadfast in its mission to produce graduates who are not only academically sound but also morally upright. This is the essence of our institution,” she remarked.
Students also shared their joy about the anniversary. Tomiwa Adewale, a final-year student, described the moment as inspiring.

The Thanksgiving Mass concluded with prayers for the university’s continued success, after which attendees engaged in fellowship and reflections on the journey so far.
