Augustine University Makes History with Appointment of First Professors and Associate Professors

Eko hot blog reports that Augustine University has announced the appointment of its first-ever Professors and Associate Professors.

The milestone decision was approved during the Governing Council’s meeting on Wednesday, 20th November 2024.

The appointments include two Professors and two Associate Professors across diverse academic fields, marking an advancement in the university’s pursuit of academic excellence and global recognition.

The newly appointed Professors are:

Professor Kolapo Adelodun, Professor of Microbiology
Professor Grace Evbuomwan, Professor of Economics
Additionally, the university has promoted two Associate Professors:

Dr. Philip Edema, Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies
Dr. Juliet Olughor, Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Christopher Odetunde, expressed pride in the accomplishments of the appointees and highlighted their contributions to the institution’s growth.

“This is a historic moment for Augustine University. These appointments reflect our commitment to academic excellence and the development of a strong faculty base. The exceptional scholarly achievements of the newly appointed Professors and Associate Professors will undoubtedly propel the university to greater heights,” he said.

Professor Kolapo Adelodun, one of the newly appointed Professors, described the appointment as a humbling recognition of years of dedication to academia.
