AY Claims Most Popular African Comedian On Social Media Status

Comedian-turned filmmaker, Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has claimed to be the most popular comedian on social media across the African continent.

The 30 Days in Atlanta producer made the claim in an Instagram post on Saturday, thanking his fans as his followership across social media platforms, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter reach beyond 12 million.

“You guys could have picked some more talented individuals to follow on social media, but you all chose to follow and consistently encourage me. My invaluable thanks to each one of you for presently positioning me as the most followed standup comedian in Africa.
