The Nigerian international played in all but one of Brugge’s matches in September, missing only the 3-0 away victory against KV Kortrijk on September 14. He accumulated 324 minutes across five games, starting in key fixtures, including the UEFA Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund and the local derby with Cercle Brugge.
In his most recent outing, Onyedika was controversially sent off early in the second half, leaving Club Brugge to finish with ten men in their 1-1 draw against Royal Charleroi S.C. Despite his studs being visible, the intensity of the tackle on Parfait Guiagon was not deemed excessive.

On the international front, Onyedika contributed to the Super Eagles’ successful 3-0 win over Benin and their draw with Rwanda, coming off the bench in both of Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in September 2024.
The midfielder was also strongly linked with a move to Turkish champions Galatasaray before the close of the transfer window, but despite agreeing personal terms, the deal ultimately fell through.
