Nigerian Govt Appoints Ben Iloanusi As MD Of Nigeria Railway Corporation
The Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government has appointed Ben Iloanusi as the acting Managing Director (MD) of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC).
This decision comes after the completion of Fidet Okhiria’s tenure as MD.
The announcement was made on Sunday by Yakub Mahmood, the Deputy Director of Public Relations at NRC. Okhiria officially completed his second four-year term on October 18 and has since handed over responsibilities to Iloanusi.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Iloanusi, who joined the NRC in 2011, is the most senior executive director within the corporation.
Since 2019, he has held the position of Deputy Director of Procurement.
He holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Management from South Bank University in London, United Kingdom.
In his farewell address, Okhiria expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the NRC staff for their support throughout his tenure and urged them to extend the same cooperation to his successor.
“I encourage the management and staff of the corporation to offer the same level of cooperation and understanding to the acting managing director,” he stated.
In turn, Iloanusi called for the support of NRC staff and expressed his openness to constructive criticism, emphasizing the importance of collaboration to advance the organization.
