Benue Police Lead Rescue Mission For 20 Abducted Medical Students

Five days after the abduction of 20 medical students from the University of Maiduguri and the University of Jos, security forces are still searching the forest to rescue them.

The students were en route to the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students annual convention in Enugu last Thursday when they were kidnapped along the Otukpo/Otukpa/Enugu federal highway, EKO HOT BLOG reported.

In response, Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has deployed a tactical team to ensure the safe recovery of the abducted students. The IG’s team arrived in Benue State on Monday and was immediately sent to Otukpo to assist in the rescue operation.
