Feyenoord’s troubles began early, conceding in the fifth minute after Ramiz Zerrouki lost possession in midfield. Florian Wirtz pounced on the mistake, firing a low shot into the bottom corner to give Leverkusen the lead.
The second goal came in the 30th minute, with Boniface showcasing his strength and skill as he shrugged off two Feyenoord defenders before delivering a clever no-look pass to Jeremie Frimpong. The Dutch international sent a low cross to the far post, where Alejandro Grimaldo was waiting to tap it in and double the advantage.

Just six minutes later, Leverkusen extended their lead. Frimpong once again found space on the right and delivered a precise cross to Wirtz, who calmly side-footed the ball into the net to make it 3-0.
Leverkusen capped off their dominant performance with a fourth goal in the second half. A well-placed free kick from Grimaldo found Edmond Tapsoba at the far post, whose header was helped into the net by a fumble from Feyenoord goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther.
