EKO HOT BLOG reports that this was made known in a statement released on Friday by Police Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi, the postings include AIG Suleiman M. Yusuf as head of Zone 9 in Umuahia, AIG Ahmed Ammani for Zone 1 in Kano, AIG Zachariah Fera for Zone 4 in Makurdi, and AIG Augustina N. Ogbodo for the FCID Annex in Lagos.

These changes follow the retirement of several AIGs who previously headed the zones and the recent promotion of DIG Ari Muhammed Ali, the former AIG of Zone 1, to the position of Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Department of Operations at Force Headquarters, Abuja.
In the statement, the IGP urged the newly appointed AIGs to prioritize strict supervision and diligence in their duties, aligning with ongoing police reform efforts and upholding professional ethics.
He also emphasized the need to curb misconduct and ensure that officers demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism, contributing to the advancement of the Nigeria Police Force and the nation as a whole.
