BREAKING: Kano Traditional Leader, Isa Hashim Is Dead

An elder statesman, traditional leader Jarman Kano, Professor Isa Hashim is dead.

He died in the early hours of Sunday at the age of 86.

A government official confirmed to Vanguard, that Hashim passed away on Sunday.

Though the details of his ailment were not disclosed but a family member said Hashim’s health worsen following the death of some of his childhood friends.

The one-time lecturer at the Bayero University Kano was a senior council member of Kano Emirate council.

He is a retired professor of political science, administrator and author who held the title of Jarman Kano in Kano emirate council.

He was appointed Jarman Kano by the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero following the death of the former Jarman Kano, late Alhaji Adamu Dankabo, Chairman of Kabo Air.
