The National Bureau of Statistics has announced that Nigeria’s headline inflation rate fell to 16.05 percent in October 2025.

Eko Hot Blog reprots that the figure, contained in the agency’s latest Consumer Price Index and Inflation Report released on its verified X formerly Twitter handle on Monday, marks a notable drop from the 18.02 percent recorded in September.

According to the report, month on month headline inflation, however, rose by 0.93 percent in October. It also showed a slight easing in food prices, with food inflation declining by 0.37 percent month on month.

The NBS noted that the latest figure represents the seventh consecutive month of decline in Nigeria’s inflation rate this year.
