- Yoruba Nation agitators have held a rally in Ekiti State.
A group of Yoruba independence agitators, on Saturday, held a rally in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
The Yoruba Nation agitators, EKO HOT BLOG gathered, converged at Fajuyi Park, calling for self-determination.
The rally was organised by a socio-political group, Ilana Omo Oodua.
However, there was heavy presence of security operatives including police, Department of State Services (DSS), and Amotekun Corps at the venue.

A security operative, who declined to be named, said they are at the venue “to prevent the breakdown of law and order and ensure miscreants do not hijack the rally”.
The agitators, who were armed with banners and Yoruba Nation flags, expressed their readiness for Yoruba Nation out of Nigeria.
Speaking, one of the agitators, Olusola Oyemakinde, said, “We are here in support of our agitation for Oodua Nation.
“Every one of us can see the state of Nigeria whereby there is no justice, there is lopsidedness and insecurity are the order of the day.
“The government of Nigeria has failed in its responsibility of securing lives. We cannot continue this way. Yoruba nation is the answer for us” the agitator said.
