Carabao Cup: Brighton Beat Wolves To Reach Fourth Round

Carlos Baleba opened the scoring for the Seagulls in the 14th minute with a stunning left-footed strike from outside the box. Simon Adingra added a second 17 minutes later, cutting in from the left and finishing powerfully past Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa.
Wolves pulled one back before halftime when Goncalo Guedes converted Matt Doherty’s cutback. However, Turkish full-back Ferdi Kadioglu restored Brighton’s two-goal cushion in the 85th minute with his first goal for the club since joining from Fenerbahce.

Wolves made it a tense finish when Tommy Doyle fired in from the edge of the box during stoppage time, but Brighton held on to secure the win.
Despite several chances, including a close call when Adam Webster nearly scored an own goal, Wolves were unable to complete the comeback.
The defeat leaves Wolves with just one win this season, which came in the Carabao Cup second round against Burnley.
