Reports of an alleged theft have emerged from the Super Falcons’ training camp in Casablanca, Morocco, where several players reportedly discovered that cash was missing from their wallets.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the Nigerian women’s national team is staying at the Marriott Hotel as preparations continue for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

According to reports, the players noticed the missing money after returning to their hotel rooms during the team’s training camp.
Esther Okoronkwo reportedly lost $700, while captain Rasheedat Ajibade was said to be missing $200. Osinachi Ohale allegedly lost $100, Joy Omewa $120, and Halimatu Ayinde $100.
In total, the reported cash missing from the affected players amounts to $1,220.
The Nigeria Football Federation has not officially commented on the incident or confirmed whether an investigation has been launched.
Nigeria’s full squad is currently in camp under head coach Justine Madugu as preparations intensify for the tournament. The defending champions are expected to travel to Rabat ahead of their opening Group C match against Malawi, with Zambia and Egypt also in the group.
