Commercial sex workers on Monday, May 11th 2020 held a candlelight procession in memory of their colleagues who were allegedly killed by suspected ritualists over the weekend.
A corpse of one prostitute, Sitira popularly known as Titi was discovered at a refuse dump in Olomoore junction in Abeokuta.
The 23-year-old lady was allegedly mutilated by suspected ritualists and was thrown away by the moving Sport Utility Vehicle, SUV, along the Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway.
The second colleague identified as Folake was also reportedly killed by ritualists with some body parts cut off and the corpse was found in a ditch in Olomoore, Abeokuta.
About 50 sex workers all dressed in black, stormed premises of the Nigerian Union of Journalists’ State Secretariat, NUJ, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, protesting and mourning the deaths of their friends.

They also gathered at the residence of former Head of the Interim National Government, Chief Ernest Shonekan then later left for the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Kuto, Abeokuta, where they resumed their mourning, shouting protest slogans and raining curses on the murderers.
“Oro nla leda, oro nla leda, eyin tepa Titi, t’eje odagba, oro nla leda. Omo yin maku, eeehee omo yin maku, eyin tepa Titi t’eje odagba, omo yin maku”, they sang the dirge.
If interpreted, it means: “you did something grievous, you did something grievous. The murderers of Titi (Sitira) did something grievous.
Their children will die, their children will die, those who killed Titi will lose their child”.
