In a video shared on his Facebook, the Enugu-born actor referred to Yemi Alade as a “beautiful queen” and a role model worthy of admiration.
He expressed: “Yemi Alade, you are a queen. The queen you think you are. You may not have won the Grammy, but you’ve certainly won my heart. If no one else is saying it, I, Chief Chiwetalu, will give you your flowers.
“She didn’t just represent Afrobeat, but also African culture. Through her Grammy outfit, she put African culture on the world map. Her attire was boldly saying, ‘I did not come to impress you, I know my roots.’
