Community Celebrates as Otunba Anomo Breaks Ground for Samson Adeniyi Street Road Construction in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA

Ekohotblog reports that the people of Agbowa are filled with joy as the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Samson Adeniyi Street road in Ward E1.

This important event marks the beginning of a project aimed at improving roads and helping the economy in the area.

 

The new road will connect Hospital Road, Court Road, and Methodist Road, making it easier for residents to reach the Agbowa General Hospital.

 

The project, which is set to be finished in three months, will also include street lights for safety, as drainage work has already been completed.

 

Many important people and members of the APC party attended the ceremony, including Alhaji Wasiu Dehinsilu, Vice Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA; Mr. Sunday Awobajo, Council Manager; Otunba Nurudeen Yusuf; Hon. Hassan Mustapha, Leader of the House; Hon. Oguntimirin Adeyemi, Ward E1 Councillor; Hon. Yusuf Babatunde, Supervisor for Works; Hon. Kareemat Hassan, Supervisor for WAPA; former Vice-Chairman Alhaji Jimoh Odumeru; former Executive Secretary Hon. Yusuf Sulaimon; and other community leaders and the project contractor.

 

In his speech, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo promised to bring positive changes to Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA through this project.

 

He said, “This road is not just about building; it’s about making life better for our people. It will help everyone get to important places like the Agbowa General Hospital and support local businesses.”

 

Otunba Nurudeen Yusuf praised the Chairman for delivering projects that help the community.

 

He urged the local youth to work with the contractors, saying, “It is very important for our youth to support the contractors.

 

Your help will make sure this project goes smoothly and gets finished on time.”

 

Community leader Alhaji Lateef Ifesanya thanked the Chairman for solving problems related to getting to the General Hospital.

 

He said, “We have been waiting for this day for a long time. Hon. Anomo has made our dreams come true, and we appreciate his dedication to improving our lives.”

 

The Project Contractor, Engineer Ilesanmi, promised to deliver quality work, explaining, “We will complete this project on time and with the best quality.

 

We ask for the community’s cooperation to ensure it is successful.”

 

When finished, the Samson Adeniyi Street road will make travel easier, boost local businesses, improve connections, and increase safety for residents, marking an important milestone for the Agbowa community.
