Court Remands Ex-Husband for Failing to Provide for His Children

A Shari’a Court in Kaduna has ordered the temporary remand of Musa Hussaini to reflect on how he will financially support his four children.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the court’s decision came on Wednesday following a petition from Hajara Sani, the mother of the children.

Sani requested the court’s assistance in recovering some of her belongings from Hussaini, whom she accused of selling two chairs and a television and pressuring her into selling her bed.

Hussaini admitted to making the three divorce declarations and acknowledged selling the items with Sani’s consent to fund repairs for his vulcanizing equipment.
