- Total cases confirmed – 215,918
- Total cases discharged – 207,619
- Total deaths recorded – 2,981
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 215,918 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated December 9, the NCDC reports 754 new cases with one COVID-related death.

The new cases were reported in 12 States – Lagos-595, FCT-68, Imo-49, Edo-3, Oyo-9, Delta-5, Katsina-4, Kano-3, Plateau-3, Ekiti-2, Gombe-2 and Rivers-1.
According to the NCDC, no case was recorded in Ondo, Ogun, Osun and Sokoto States.
It was gathered that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 207,619 cases have been discharged while the death has risen to 2,981.
