COVID-19: NCDC Confirms 473 New Cases, 4 Deaths

• Total cases confirmed – 177,615
• Total cases discharged – 165,472
• Total deaths recorded – 2,185

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 177,615 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated August 7, the NCDC reports 473 new cases with 4 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in 13 states – Lagos-323, Akwa Ibom-46, Rivers-41, FCT-20, Ekiti-12, Oyo-9, Ogun-6, Bayelsa-3, Anambra-1, Edo-1, Nasarawa-1 and Plateau-1.

According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Kaduna, Sokoto, Kano and Ondo States.

EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 165,472 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,185.
