Cubana Chief Priest Gets Canceled By The Internet For Political Choice

• The Internet never forgets, and now they have come for Nigerian socialite, Cubana Chief Priest over his political stance in the Lagos State elections.

• The celebrity had previously supported the Labour Party to win the Presidential elections, however prior to the gubernatorial polls and after the defeat of Peter Obi in the presidential polls, Cubana Chief Priest turns eyes toward what the media perceives as the opposition.

• Recently, the socialite advocated support for Babajide Sanwo-Olu who currently stands under the All Progressives Congress who were the party that stood in opposition of the Labour Party in the Presidential polls.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nigerian celebrity barman, Pascal Chibuike, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has received criticism from fans after he canvassed for votes for the All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, Babajide Sanwoolu.

This comes after the barman had previously pledged his support for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

In a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday, Cubana Chief Priest urged his followers to vote for Sanwoolu, saying that the governor needs to be re-elected to complete the good work he started four years ago. He stated that Sanwoolu will have the chance to perfect all he failed to do during his first tenure, adding that “he will perfect all imperfections.”

However, Cubana Chief Priest’s post has sparked outrage among his fans, who expressed disappointment with his choice of governorship candidate. Some of his followers accused him of playing politics of interest, claiming that he supported Obi because he knew the youth would come for him. They also criticized the celebrity barman for campaigning for a governor who they believe is not fit to be re-elected.

One fan, @mazilucky_, said: “If this man did well for the past 4years he won’t even need to campaign much to be re-elected I swear, this 4+4 norm is where we are today, after wasting 8 years he will now go retire in the senate… SANWOOLU IS NOT FIT TO BE RE-ELECTED 📌.”

Another fan, @itz.kizzy226, accused Cubana Chief Priest and other celebrities of showing their real selves by supporting PDP and APC governors despite campaigning for Obi. The fan stated that the celebrities are after their pockets and businesses and not the betterment of Nigeria.

Reacting to the criticism, another fan, @psalmsyne_77, said that Cubana Chief Priest was disappointing as a freedom fighter, and accused him of forgetting about the EndSars massacre.

Meanwhile, another fan, @jennexglowtouch, called on voters to be logical in the gubernatorial election and not use emotions.

The fan stated that voting for APC means giving Tinubu control over Lagos, adding that Lagos State should be the stronghold of the Labour Party to enable the party to build more structures for future elections.
