Legendary American actor and musician David Keith Lynch has passed away at the age of 72.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Lynch, the renowned creator of Twin Peaks and Mulholland Drive, died recently. His family confirmed his death in a statement released Thursday.
In their announcement, the family requested privacy as they grieve the loss. The statement read, “It is with deep regret that we, his family, announce the passing of the man and the artist, David Lynch.

In 2024, Lynch disclosed that he had been diagnosed with emphysema after decades of smoking. Emphysema, a chronic lung disease, impairs lung function and makes breathing difficult.
Despite fans’ concerns, Lynch assured the public in August that the diagnosis wouldn’t force him into retirement. He shared on X: “Ladies and gentlemen, yes, I have emphysema from my many years of smoking.
