Deportation Reports On Pastor Tobi Adegboyega Are False – Lawyer

Dele Olawanle, the solicitor for controversial United Kingdom-based Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, has dismissed claims that the clergyman is facing deportation.

The reports, initially covered by EKO HOT BLOG  stated that an immigration tribunal had ruled that the 44-year-old pastor, who is also a cousin of Star Wars actor John Boyega, would be deported to Nigeria over allegations of financial misconduct related to his church, SPAC Nation.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the allegations suggested that the church had failed to account for significant financial outgoings and had faced accusations of lacking transparency. SPAC Nation was subsequently shut down due to these issues.

However, in a press release issued on December 4, 2024, Olawanle vehemently refuted the claims, calling them “fake and false.” He emphasized that Adegboyega has lived in the UK for over 20 years without any criminal convictions or a criminal record.

While acknowledging that SPAC Nation had been scrutinized by both the courts and the Charity Commission, Olawanle pointed out that the pastor had never been found guilty of any wrongdoing.

The solicitor expressed his disapproval of the rumors, labeling them as sensationalist and foolish. He also took aim at a society that seemingly takes pleasure in the downfall of others, stating, “I wondered why there is joy in seeing people go down, including so-called pastors. Society has a big problem.”
