EKO HOT BLOG reports that Hon. Yakubu Dogara, the former speaker of the House of Representatives and current member of the House representing the Tafawa Balewa/ Bogoro/Dass federal constituency, has rejected the court judgment that sacked him from the House for defecting from the PDP to the APC and vowed to appeal the decision.
On Friday, the Federal High Court in Abuja removed Dogara as a member of the House of Representatives and declared his seat empty.
In response to the judgment, Hon. Dogara’s counsel, J.J. Usman (SAN), said his client Dogara rejects court verdict had instructed him to appeal the decision immediately.
The ruling was just issued, and we informed our client right away from the court, and Dogara rejects court verdict voiced discontent and requested that we file an appeal right away, which we will do on Monday.
