Don’t Let APC Return Civil Servants to Poverty – Adeleke Tells Osun Voters

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has appealed to residents of the state to remain steadfast ahead of the August 15 governorship election, urging eligible voters to support his administration’s bid for a second term in office.

In a statement shared on his official 𝕏 account on Thursday, Adeleke called on the people of Osun to remain resolute in the days leading up to the election, describing the poll as an opportunity to consolidate what he said were the achievements of his administration.

The governor also criticised previous administrations led by the All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing them of implementing policies that negatively affected workers and residents of the state.

“Those who once weaponized poverty by paying workers half salaries, leaving civil servants to struggle to feed their families, and denying our people access to basic necessities are desperate to return to inflict more pain,” Adeleke said.

He urged voters not to allow the state to return to what he described as difficult periods in its history.

“We must never go back to those dark days,” the governor added.

Adeleke called on all eligible voters to participate in the August 15 governorship election and vote in support of his administration.

“On August 15, I urge every eligible voter to send a clear and resounding message that Osun has chosen the path of progress, compassion, and good governance.
