The Honourable Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr Morufu Tunji Alausa, on Tuesday, paid an official visit to Diamed Centre Limited, a newly commissioned medical center situated in Oniru, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, for official facility checks and a tour, in a bid to ensure quality assurance services.
EKO HOT BLOG recalls that Diamed Centre Limited was officially commissioned and launched in July 2024 by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

The medical facility has numerous state-of-the-art medical equipment, offering a wide range of diagnostic services such as radiology, pathology, cancer dialysis, among others.
Dr. Tunji Alausa, in a bid to further put words to action in terms of fostering and trailblazing a new trend of medical advancement across the country as the core agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, paid an official visit to Diamed Centre Limited.
The CEO of Diamed Centre Limited, Dr. Abiola Olorode, gave a brief remark about the company’s mission and vision in her welcome address.
She also emphasized that the organization has dedicated healthcare professionals who are always eager to deliver compassionate, ethical, and cutting-edge healthcare services.

The CEO, however, highlighted a number of challenges that are presently affecting the operations of the medical organization, such as the high cost of electricity and alternative power supply, slow and infrequent collaboration and rapport with other medical organizations around, as well as a lack of referrals despite constant networking and liaising activities.
Dr. Tunji, after commending the organization’s efforts in strategizing and executing such a great medical facility, delved into providing actionable solutions to the proposed challenges.
He advised the management of Diamed Centre Limited to fully leverage a more reliable source of power supply by exploring solar energy solutions.
Dr Alausa further added that the organization should heavily focus on and invest in social media branding and publicity to boost the organization’s online presence and also serve as a means of getting potential patients and clients.
The Minister, as well as the media team on the ground, including Eko Hot Blog, was led by the CEO, Dr. Abiola, on a brief facility tour exercise in and around the wards, X-Ray and radiology, therapy rooms, and other diagnostic labs located across the floors of the 4-storey building.
The facility has a wide range of sophisticated, state-of-the-art medical diagnostic equipment, which includes a Laboratory Electrolyte Analyzer, Blood Gas Analyzer, UV/VIS Spectrophotometer, electric pipette filler, 3 Modes Portable Auto Hematology Analyzer, lab incubator, binocular stereo microscope, ultrasound radiology X-Ray machine, among many others.
