DSS Arrests Blogger Behind Fake Recruitment Notice

- Sylvester Victor Augustus, 32, arrested for cloning DSS website.
- Augustus created a fraudulent recruitment notice to scam the public.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the 32-year-old suspect is accused of cloning the DSS website to post a fraudulent recruitment advertisement, misleading Nigerians into believing the agency was hiring.

Augustus, from Abak Local Government Area in Akwa-Ibom State, was apprehended on Thursday at his residence on Akpan Eno Lane, Abak. He claims to be a graduate of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO), as well as a blogger and content creator.

A source revealed that Augustus created the fake recruitment notice with the apparent intent of defrauding the public.

Court DSS Suit SERAP
In response, the DSS immediately labeled the notice as “fake” and warned citizens to be cautious of such scams.
The suspect is expected to face charges in court soon.
