ECWA Pastor Killed in Gombe Armed Robbery Attack

The Gombe State Police Command has confirmed the killing of Reverend Bala Galadima, the presiding pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Lubo community, Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the tragic incident, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, has plunged the community into mourning. Security operatives have assured residents that efforts are underway to apprehend the culprits.

Confirming the attack, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, described it as an armed robbery that led to the pastor’s death.

“It was a robbery. They entered the house at night, likely attempting to steal from him. Unfortunately, he was shot in the back, possibly while trying to escape,” Abdullahi stated.
Gombe State Commissioner of Police, Bello Yahaya, has visited the hospital where the pastor’s body was taken and has deployed a special squad to maintain peace in the area.
Resident Recounts Attack
A local resident, identified as Ahmadu, shared details of the incident, explaining that the armed men first targeted the ECWA Church before moving to a nearby compound, where they stole money.

“They didn’t come specifically for the pastor, but he was shot when he peeped outside after hearing noises. He was hit in the back,” Ahmadu told Punch.
