Edo Decides: Oshiomhole Casts Vote, Optimistic About APC’s Return to Power

Former Edo State Governor and current Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has cast his vote in the ongoing governorship election in the state.

Oshiomhole voted at Iyamho, Ward 10, Unit 01 in Estako West Local Government Area of Edo State and expressed confidence that his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), would emerge victorious.

Speaking to journalists after casting his vote, the senator praised the peaceful conduct of the election and thanked the people of Edo State for rejecting violence.

Addressing allegations of vote buying, Oshiomhole dismissed claims that the APC was involved in such practices. He said the large voter turnout was due to the people’s desire for the APC to return to power in Edo.

“It’s laughable when I hear these kinds of allegations. You’ve been around, did you see anywhere they are sharing money? People came out in large numbers to vote for us because they want good governance.

Oshiomhole Casts Vote

During our campaign, people showed up not because I was giving them anything, but because of what I achieved while serving as governor,” he stated.

Oshiomhole added that the structures he established over 12 years ago during his tenure are still standing, while those initiated by the current administration have deteriorated.

“All the structures I put in place 12, 13 years ago are still intact, but the ones from this administration have already crumbled in just a year. Our people can see the difference. Some tell me that since I left office, they haven’t felt the real presence of the government in their communities,” he concluded
