This information was shared by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement.

“The suspects, connected to a larger network involving one “Atiku” and a kingpin known as “the boss”, were apprehended at So Cash guest house in Ekpoma, where a substantial amount of cash and incriminating items were recovered,” the statement said.

The recovered items included a list of voters’ names paired with corresponding monetary amounts, a collection of pre-filled ballot papers, and a set of fake identification cards.

Adejobi also revealed the arrest of six additional suspects—Suleiman Abdurahim, Fatima Yakubu, Yusuf Aminat (52), Salihu Lukman (54), and Safianu Saratu (32)—at Aibotse Secondary School, near Meremu Hotel in Auchi, for involvement in vote buying.

He added that the group was found in possession of a large sum of money, a cache of weapons, and a detailed plan outlining strategies for voter intimidation.
